Founded in February 2015, necco Co., Ltd. operates “Yama no Eki Sanbe,” a municipal tourist facility located in Mount Sanbe, a national park in Oda City, Shimane Prefecture, Japan.
Based in this location, we run a café offering wholesome, body-friendly dishes made with locally sourced ingredients and carefully crafted seasonings, while creating a welcoming place where people can naturally gather. In addition, we are engaged in event planning and management, confectionery production, and the development of souvenirs that make use of local ingredients and the gifts of nature.
Among our products, the aroma series made from Solidago altissima (commonly known as Canada goldenrod), a naturalized plant in Japan, stands out as a unique initiative. Although originally introduced from abroad and now subject to removal in national parks as an invasive species, we focus on its traditional use as a medicinal herb. Instead of being discarded, it is transformed into aromatic products—an upcycled aroma line born from a desire to give new value to what was once overlooked.
